Norman Foster, Baron Foster of Thames Bank is a British architect and one of the world's foremost architects. His work ranges from the HSBC Building in Hong Kong, 30 St Mary Axe in the city of London, informally known as 'The Gherkin' to the restored Reichstag in Berlin and Apple's new HQ; Apple Park in Silicon Valley.
In 1999 Foster received the Pritzker Architecture Prize, the highest honour in architecture prizes.
